OAKLAND, Calif. --
An Oakland fire truck collided with a car Wednesday afternoon, according to Oakland Fire Department Capt. Melinda Drayton.
One person inside the car was injured, and taken to Highland Hospital with serious injuries, Drayton said.
No firefighters were hurt, Drayton said.
The fire truck was responding to a nearby accident when the collision happened at about 2:30 p.m. on Highway 13 near Redwood Road, NBC11's Ethan Harp reported.
The cause of the collision has not been released, nor was the condition of the fire truck.
