A house fire overnight claimed the life of one person in Oakland.
The three-alarm blaze began in a home along Meyran Avenue shortly before 4 a.m. Monday and quickly spread to two additional homes.
Fire crews recovered the body of 21-year-old Mario Nimri.
Witnesses said Nimri could be heard screaming for help from the third floor.
Neighbors said Nimri was not a student at the University of Pittsburgh, but was living with members of a University of Pittsburgh fraternity.
He worked at Joe Mama's restaurant on Forbes Avenue.
Investigators ruled the fire accidental and estimated damages at $135,000. Watch Channel 11 News and refresh this page for updates.
