Sunday fire crews set fire to a condemned co-op grain elevator and allowed it to burn to the ground.
It was part of a unique training exercise in Winslow, Neb. "It's very rare that we get a building of this size and magnitude," said Sanford Goshord, the local fire inspector.
More than 80 firefighters from Valley, Fremont, and other nearby communities participated in the training exercise.
Organizers told Newswatch 7 that lots of careful planning went into the training.
