The Ohio Highway Patrol said Robert Darby, of Bellsville, forced a Clarington fire truck off the road and into a ditch, causing the truck to land on its side on State Route 556 in Monroe County Tuesday night.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol said crews were on their way back to the department after responding to an earlier accident when they were sideswiped, causing them to partially roll and land on their side.

The accident sent Clarington Ohio firefighter Steven Raper and Joshua Randolph to the Wetzel County Hospital.

No word on their conditions this morning.

Troopers say Darby just kept on driving, but were able to catch up with him at his work and cited him for improper passing and leaving the scene.
