Firefighters responded to a three-alarm fire in Oakland on Monday evening.

The fire broke out at a house under construction near the intersection of Carlston and Santa Rey avenues, NBC 11 reported.

Oakland fire officials said they were worried that the fire could spread to neighboring homes.

The cause of the fire remained under investigation.
