(New York- WABC, March 30, 2007) - A third-alarm fire tore through a row of homes in the South Jamaica section of Queens Friday.

Eyewitness News is told the fire burned through as many as four homes at 145-29 Lakewood Avenue just after 2:00 p.m. Flames could be seen spreading from one two-story building to the next.

At nearly the same time, a second-alarm fire tore through a house in Bloomfield, New Jersey. That fire broke out in a house in 164 Orange Street. No injuries were immediately reported.
