Body Found At Site of 7-Alarm Texas Blaze
Police said remains were found Tuesday at the scene of a seven-alarm Dallas apartment fire that has displaced almost 150 families.
It is not yet certain whether the remains are that of a human or animal, police said.
The fire broke out at about 11:30 p.m. on March 12 at Harvey's Racquet Club Apartments.
The fire left one person dead, 17 people injured, and at least 280 residents displaced. Officials said that 93 units were damaged or destroyed.
The American Red Cross said on Saturday that they are helping 147 families displaced by one of the biggest apartment fires in Dallas history.
The three-story complex is located about a mile southeast of Dallas Love Field.
In all, 175 firefighters battled the fire between 11:30 p.m. Sunday and 2:15 a.m. Monday, NBC 5 reported.
The fire spread so fast, fire officials said many people became trapped.
