Two firefighters were injured Wednesday when their fire truck collided with a car, then overturned.

The Carroll County firefighters were on the way to a training session when the driver lost control on a curve, hit a Honda Prelude, then left the road and overturned several times.

The fire truck driver was airlifted to an Atlanta hospital.

Another firefighter was trapped in the wreckage. After rescue crews freed him, he was taken to Tanner Health System Hospital in Carrollton.

The driver of the Honda also was taken to Tanner for treatment.
