Two men were injured when a heavy marble slab fell on top of them on Tuesday, KPRC Local 2 reported.

Cy-Fair volunteer firefighters said the 2,000-pound slab fell on top of the men at a business on Brittmoore Road near Holly Hill Lane at about 1:30 p.m.

Officials said the men were moving the marble when it fell on them from 5 to 10 feet above.

The men were pinned under the marble, but their co-workers freed them before medics arrived.

The men were transported by helicopter to Memorial Hermann Hospital. One man suffered chest injuries and the other suffered abdominal injuries, officials said.

The cause of the accident is under investigation.
