Buses Collide in Maryland; Dozens Hurt

Traffic in Montgomery County was snarled Monday morning.

More than two dozen people were hurt Monday morning after two buses collided in Kensington, Md.

Montgomery County police said a Ride-on Bus rear-ended a Metrobus in the 12100 block of westbound Viers Mill Road.

Officials said so far the injuries are reported to be minor.

Pictures from Chopper4 showed firefighters working to evacuate the injured from both buses.

Police said Viers Mill Road is closed between Randolph Road and Connecticut Avenue. Motorists have been advised to avoid the area.
