California SUV Ignites at McDonald's Drive-Thru

A lunchtime crowd at a downtown McDonald's got front-row seats when an SUV went up in flames on Monday.

The older model Chevrolet Suburban went up in flames in the drive-through line at the 12th and B street location just before noon.

The driver said that he saw smoke coming from his engine and pulled out of line as the SUV, which the driver said he borrowed from a friend, went up in flames.

Firefighters were able to quickly extinguish the blaze soon after they arrived. Nobody was hurt by the fire.
