Fire Destroys Historic Dallas Club

An early-morning fire in Dallas has destroyed a landmark.
An early-morning fire in Dallas has destroyed a landmark on White Rock Lake. The Dreyfuss Club went up in flames at about 3 a.m. Monday. Fire officials said the building was fully involved when the arrived on the scene. Video For 70 years the club sat off of White Rock Lake. Built in 1936, the building was once a private clubhouse built for the employees of Dallas clothing retailer Dreyfuss & Son. The city of Dallas now runs the building and rents it out for parties and other special functions. There were no reported injuries from the fire. Dallas fire investigators are investigating the cause of the fire.
