Ohio House Fires Ruled Suspicious

Oct. 19, 2006
Arson investigators are looking into whether the fires were set by the same person.
Investigators said two suspicious house fires kept firefighters busy overnight. The first fire happened around midnight at a vacant house in the 800 block of Xenia Avenue near Boltin Street. Authorities said as fire crews wrapped up the fire on Xenia Avenue, another fire was reported at a nearby home on Hulbert Street. Investigators said the house on Xenia Avenue did not suffer much damage because it was actually the seen of a fire a couple of months ago. Authorities said the home on Hulbert Street suffered extensive damage because it appeared to have been burning for a while. Arson investigators said they believe the fires have a lot in common. They are looking into whether they were set by the same person.
