Dallas Firefighters Battling Three-Alarmer

A two-story apartment complex in Dallas caught fire early Friday morning, displacing 15 families.

Flames could be seen shooting through the roof of several units at the Summer Hill apartment complex near the intersection of Whitehurst Drive and Skillman Street.

Dallas firefighters began battling the three-alarm fire at about 8 a.m. The fire was brought under control at about 9 a.m.

Officials said 16 units have been damaged by the fire.

The cause of the fire is unknown and there have not been any reported injuries.

A three-alarm fire at the apartment complex in November of last year resulted in nearly $400,000 in damage to 10 units and displaced 20-25 people.
