Fire crews from at least eight towns were on the seen of a large saw mill fire in Warren late Wednesday night.
A newspaper reports that a volunteer firefighter driving by Whitcher Mill first spotted the flames after 10 p.m.
The report said that the fire broke out in an area of the mill where logs are cut and hydraulic equipment is stored.
Neighbors who contacted News 9 said that the glow from flames could be seen for miles in the night sky.
After about 40 minutes of battling the flames, fire crews said the fire was still not under control. A large section of the mill had collapsed as it burned.
There were no reports of injuries, and no immediate word of a possible cause for the fire.
According to records for the Town of Warren, Whitcher Mill is the town's largest employer with a staff of approximately 20 people.
