San Jose Firefighters Control Brush Fire

The blaze scorched 30 acres and burned very close to homes.

Firefighters quickly brought a four-alarm brushfire under control that was burning Sunday near Piedmont and Berryessa roads in San Jose.

One structure was reported burned.

The blaze scorched 30 acres and burned very close to homes.

No injuries were reported, and no one was evacuated, fire officials said.

About 150 firefighters battled the fire and were working on hot spots Sunday evening.
