A lightning strike caused a power surge in a Coral Springs neighborhood, triggering a house fire Wednesday night.
No one was injured from a bedroom fire at a two-story home at 11190 NW 26th Dr.
The house is listed as belonging to the family of John and Jacqueline Scibelli. The extent of the damage was unknown Wednesday night, but Coral Springs Fire Department spokesman Mike Moser said the fire did not leave the family homeless.
''They firefighters were able to get inside really quickly and get the fire out,'' Moser said.
Moser added that the family's two dogs, two turtles and a fish also made it out of the house safely.
