A family member rescued a 12-week-old infant from his burning home early Thursday morning.
The fire occurred at 19851 S.W. 103rd Court.
"There was a bottle of rubbing alcohol and somebody was smoking a cigarette," said Armando Danzel. "It happened so quick. It fell on the floor and then it got all over the couch. I ran in and I got the baby out of the room. She was in the room with the fire and it almost trapped her in the room. She could have died."
Miami-Dade fire-rescue officials said a man and a woman in the duplex were taken to the hospital. Their condition was not known.
The baby was OK.
