An 18-year-old volunteer firefighter was killed early yesterday when a speeding car plowed into him after he left a pal's birthday party in Queens, authorities said.

J.R. McDermott, of the Roxbury Fire Department, had just left his friend's 21st-birthday bash at about 12:50 a.m. and was crossing south at Beach 201st Street and Rockaway Point Boulevard in Breezy Point, sources said.

A Toyota Camry speeding east on Rockaway Point Boulevard slammed into McDermott, cops said.

McDermott was rushed to Peninsula General Hospital, where he died at 2:15 a.m., police said.

Police issued a summons for speeding to the driver, Dianne Diaz, 47, but she was not arrested.
