ELDORADO SPRINGS, Mo. (AP) -- Two people died Friday after a space heater ignited a fire in a home near Eldorado Springs.

Delbert Perkins, 22, died of smoke inhalation, Cedar County Sheriff Aaron Spillman said. Charles Stephens, 83, suffered a heart attack at the scene and died later at a hospital, the sheriff said.

Four others escaped the home without injury.

The fire started about 2:50 a.m. Friday in the bathroom after a towel apparently fell on a space heater, Spillman said.
