An exclusive story on NY1 earlier this summer prompted a city official to act to prevent children from getting burned. NY1's Dean Meminger did the initial report, and now has a follow-up.

Now, after seeing our story, Queens City Councilman David Weprin says something has to be done. He's proposing a new law to protect the city's smallest citizens from these novelty items.
