Westbound Interstate 595 in Davie is open again after a fiery accident shut down the roadway earlier this morning.

All westbound lanes were closed after a Jaguar and a Ford pickup truck collided about 8:13 a.m. near State Road 7.

Trooper Sean Brammer said the Jaguar had gotten a flat tire and was driving slowly in the inside fast lane when the pickup rear-ended it.

The Jaguar burst into flames, Brammer said. Several bystanders, including off-duty firefighters and police officers, pulled the driver from the burning vehicle.

Rescue workers estimated that the woman had burns on 70 percent of her body. She was taken to Broward General Medical Center, but officials planned to move her to the burn unit at Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami.

The driver of the pickup was taken to Broward General Medical Center with minor injuries.
