Two babies are dead after a house fire in eastern Kentucky.
It happened Saturday morning in the Teaberry community of Floyd county.
Fire officials say a one month old boy and an eleven month old girl died.
One firefighter says it's the worst fire he's ever responded to.
Police say the call came in at around 11:00 Saturday morning.
"When troopers arrived at the scene, they found three mobile homes engulfed in flames," says Trooper Scott Hopkins of Kentucky State Police.
Police say the fire spread from the original mobile home to the other two trailers.
Fire officials say that two local residents were injured trying to save the children from the burning home.
They say that the two adults were able to make it out of the trailer with four children, but the other two were trapped inside.
Eleven-month-old Shelby Yates and one-month-old Joshua Yates didn't survive.
Adam Brown with the Mudd Creek Volunteer Fire Department says that when he got to the scene, he couldn't believe what he saw.
"Big smoke rolling, people were running and screaming, just letting us know about the situation...it was bad."
Brown says this is the worst fire he's ever seen.
"This is my worst one so far; I've been in fires, but this for a small child, this is by far the worst, by far for two."
Police say they are still investigating what caused the fire.
"We have received information that there have been prior electrical problems in the residence, but it's too early at this time for us to determine if that was the cause of this fire," says Hopkins.
The two children will be taken to Frankfort for autopsies.
