Live Electrical Wires Trap Passengers On Metrobus

EMS crews responded to a Metrobus that veered off the roadway and crashed into a utility pole.
A total of seven occupants were trapped on a Metrobus for an hour yesterday when the vehicle veered off the roadway and crashed into a utility pole. Live electrical wires, normally suspended by the pole, laid on top of bus.

At 3:52 p.m., local EMS crews responded to a motor vehicle crash at the intersection of Barlow Road and Palmer Park Road in Landover. Upon their arrival, the crews found a Metrobus on the side of the roadway. Rescuers instructed the seven occupants, six passengers and one driver, on board to remain on the bus until the electricity could be shut off.
