ATLANTA (AP) -- An explosion rocked an apartment complex in northwest Atlanta Saturday morning, sending three to the hospital.

Early reports from investigators indicated a gas leak caused the 8 a.m. blast, which ripped off an entire wall at Pine Hill Apartment Homes.

Police say two homeless men may have been living in the empty apartment where the explosion went off.

``We had two male patients that were burned, and a female patient complaining of chest pains,'' said Atlanta fire Capt. Danny Byess. He described the men's burns as ``pretty serious.''
