Folks across the region (and the country) will remember the victims of Sept. 11, 2001, in various ways tomorrow. Here is a list of events that have been called to the attention of the Times Leader:
DALLAS TWP. - Students, faculty and staff of College Misericordia will form a human American flag at 1 p.m. Saturday on the lawn outside McHale Hall on campus. The event is sponsored by the Residence Life Office and organized by the resident assistants from the campus townhouses and Alumni Hall. Proceeds will benefit the Dallas Volunteer Fire and Rescue Company. With a $2 donation, each participant will receive a red or white T-shirt. Photos will be taken from the roof of McHale Hall and will be available at a cost of $5 for an 8-by-10. The public is invited. T-shirts are on sale in the Residence Life Office. PLAINS TWP. - Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center employees will unite with veterans and people across the country in a program at noon Saturday in the chapel at the medical center.
WILKES-BARRE - St. Stephen's Episcopal Church, 35 South Franklin St., will have a special prayer service at 5:30 p.m. Saturday. The public is invited to participate. Call 825-6653 for more information.
