Sunbury, Pennsylvania Volunteer Firefighter Headed to Jail

A volunteer firefighter who told police he set fires is headed to jail for up to six years.

Sunbury, PA -- A volunteer firefighter who told police he set fires is headed to jail for up to six years.

William Barnhart, 21, of Sunbury was sentenced Tuesday for setting the fires in Sunbury in 2003. He was also ordered to pay nearly $300,000 in restitution for the fires.

According to court papers, Barnhart set the fires, then went with his fire company to battle the fires.
