A fire raged at a Loxahatchee home for more than 30 minutes on Monday, Palm Beach County Fire-Rescue officials said.

Firefighters had to rescue one person from the house in the 1500 block of Arabian Drive, Capt. Don De Lucia said. The person was not injured, he said.

The cause of the fire, which started about 6:45 p.m., was not known late Monday. But the house didn't have power because of Hurricane Frances, De Lucia said.

"If you think about it, there's not many things that could have started the fire," he said. "We've had a number of fires through this thing, and they're either started by candles, barbecues or people cooking inside the house."
