A man is on the run from police after attacking his family's home with a Molotov Cocktail Wednesday morning.

It happened about 1 am on 8th Street in East Nashville. Police say Vincent Harris came to his estranged wife's house, where she, her father, and her two children were staying. Harris threw some kind of Molotov Cocktail-type device at his father in law, 75-year-old John McCollum.

Harris's wife and kids got out safely as the house burned, but McCollum was badly injured. He's in serious condition with second and third-degree burns over 70 percent of his body.

Harris is now being sought by Metro Police. His wife recently took an order of protection out on him, but it hadn't been served yet.
