Edward Leisenfelder, 18 and Ricky Durand, 18, are both Fuller Road volunteers. Shawn Liburdi, 18, of Watervliet was also arrested.

All three were charged with arson, reckless endangerment and conspiracy. The fires were in the area of Interstate Avenue and Railroad Avenue in Colonie.

Sgt. Alex Rinaldi of the Colonie Police Department said, "Basically it was to get a 'run in,' basically to go on the fire call to put the fire out."

Leisenfelder and Durand were suspended from the Fuller Road station. They're expected to resign.

All three are due back in court next month.
