SHREVEPORT, La. (AP) -- Three men were thrown out of a car as it sailed through the air and landed on the side of a house and a fourth man was trapped inside the vehicle as it came to rest on its front fender.

``It looks like someone dropped it out of an airplane,'' said Shreveport Fire Department Assistant Chief Hal Wright.

Firefighters used a winch line to secure the vehicle while they worked to free the man, whose ankle was pinned under the dashboard. It took about an hour to get him loose.

None of the men was believed to have any life-threatening injuries. The woman who lives in the home said she felt the whole house shake and rushed outside to discover the frightening sight late Monday night.

``It's just a miracle to see the people still alive and know that God was working,'' said homeowner Wanda Salone.

Shreveport Police were still investigating the incident early Tuesday morning and had not released the names of any of the men inside the vehicle.

They speculate the car left the roadway, hit a street sign and then a tree, and went airborne. An officer said the car had not been reported stolen at the time of the incident. One of the men inside ran from the scene and had not been located. The other two men who were ejected were transported to a hospital.

A wrecker service arrived and carefully pulled the car down. Workers were able to prevent the car from falling into the house.

``It is a lot of damage but houses and material things can be replaced but a human life _ you can't replace that,'' Salone said.
