Fire Leaves 11 Homeless In Schenectady, New York

A fire swept through a two-family home in Schenectady this morning leaving eleven people homeless
SCHENECTADY -- Eleven people were left homeless when a fire swept through a two-family home on Willett Street in Schenectady this morning.

The fire was reported shorlty before 7 a.m. and quickly engulfed the home at 1018-1020 Willett Street in the city's Mont Pleasant neighborhood.

A neighborhood boy banged on the door to alert the residents, who were able to escape the blaze.

No injuries were reported. An investigation is underway.
