Elderly Man Killed In Queens, New York City Fire

(Ulster, N.Y. -WABC, Feb. 16, 2005 ) -- An Elderly man has been killed in a fire in the Ozone Park section of Queens.
The fire was first reported on 104th Street near 97th and 101st Avenues just before 11 a.m. this morning. When firefighters arrived they were unable to get inside of the house because of the sheer volume of the flames.
Once they were able to get inside they discovered one victim - an elderly man taken to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.
The fire is now under control but firefighters are still working to determine the cause of the blaze.
