Truck Crashes Into Tennessee Restaurant, Several Injured

A tractor-trailer crashed into a fast-food restaurant in Memphis Wednesday, and authorities were searching for victims that might be trapped in the rubble.

MEMPHIS, Tenn. (AP) -- A tractor-trailer crashed into a fast-food restaurant in Memphis Wednesday, and authorities were searching for victims that might be trapped in the rubble.

Memphis police said several people were injured in the crash at Rally's Hamburgers drive-through restaurant downtown near the intersection of Crump Boulevard and Danny Thomas streets.

In television footage of the accident, the truck appeared to have clipped the front of the restaurant.

One injured person was taken to LeBonheur Children's Medical Center, WMC-TV reported.
