HOT SPRINGS, Ark. (AP) -- The only injury reported from a fire Sunday night that destroyed an old home converted to apartments was to a firefighter, authorities said.

But 23 people were left without a place to live.

Hot Springs Fire Chief Ed Davis said none of the 12 or 13 residents inside when the blaze began shortly after 8 p.m. was injured.

``We accounted for all of those people,'' Davis said.

A firefighter was treated for minor injuries suffered when he was struck by wall siding and other debris.

Only four of the building's nine apartments were occupied. The structure was originally built as a large single-family home in the first half of the 20th century.
