Kentucky Firefighters Rescue Trapped Infant From House Fire

Crews from six different fire departments responded to the fire, desperate to rescue the trapped infant.
LUDLOW, Ky. -- An infant had to be rescued after flames roared through a multi-family house that is now considered to be a total loss.

The 9-month-old baby was rushed from the home in Ludlow, Ky., to Children's Hospital Friday night, WLWT News 5 reported. Her condition is not known.

Crews from six different fire departments responded to the fire. An adjacent home also suffered damage, investigators said.

Three firefighters were treated for heat exhaustion.

Five families lived in the house that caught fire, WLWT reported.

It's not known what caused the fire.

No other details are available at this time.
