SALISBURY, Md. (AP) -- Harold Scott will not face criminal charges for allegedly pulling a knife on another firefighter.

The decision comes from Wicomico state's attorney Davis Ruark.

Scott is the suspended president of the Station Two of the Salisbury volunteer fire company.

Ruark says the fire department should handle the incident internally.

Police investigators met with Bruce Trivits, the 40-year veteran volunteer firefighter who said Scott threatened him June 7 with a pocketknife following a fire call at their station.

Scott allegedly did it again a week later.

Fire Chief David See said an internal investigation will begin.

Scott and Trivits were suspended pending the outcome of the police investigation.
