An explosion at an oil field equipment company sparked a fire, injuring one person, authorities said Monday.

WEATHERFORD, Okla. (AP) -- An explosion at an oil field equipment company sparked a fire, injuring one person, authorities said Monday.

The blaze at Hamm & Phillips Service Co. had been brought under control by about 8 p.m., said Weatherford firefighter Bryan Cook.

The injured person was taken to the hospital by a private vehicle, Cook said. There were no immediate reports of other injuries.
