Miami Man Arrested For Allegedly Attacking Firefighters With Machete

MIAMI -- Police arrested a man Monday morning for allegedly attacking firefighters with a machete.

The firefighters were battling a blaze at NW 62 Ave. and 2nd Street in Miami when the alleged attack occurred.

Miami police say the man apparently set his own house on fire, and then hit a fire truck with his car before throwing things -- including a machete -- at firefighters.

The house fire was extinguished before 8 a.m. At this time, no injuries have been reported.
