Miami, FL -- During a fire early Sunday, a man passed out behind his front door, blocking firefighters' access to his trailer home, according to a spokeswoman.
Firefighters sawed through the wall and found the man dead, according to the Miami-Dade Fire Rescue spokeswoman, Shari Holbert Lipner.
The man, who was in his late 50s and lived in a stationary trailer on the 3800 block of Northwest 41st Street, has not been positively identified.
Firefighters got the call at about 5 a.m. There were bars over all the windows and the trailer door opened inward, further complicating rescue efforts, Holbert Lipner said. Most newer doors open outward.
Firefighters quickly put out the flames. The fire remains under investigation, Holbert Lipner said.
