MACON, Mo. (AP) -- A woman and three of her grandchildren were killed in a house fire, authorities said.
Macon Fire Chief Leroy Noble identified the victims Sunday as Barbara Wells, 71; Garrett Bradley Moots and Megan Brooke Moots, both 2; and Mallory Ryan Moots, 1.
The fire was discovered Saturday night by a police officer on patrol, Noble said.
Firefighters found three bodies late Saturday night and the fourth victim early Sunday morning, he said. No one else was in the home, which was owned by Wells.
The state fire marshal's office and Macon Fire Department are investigating the cause of the fire, which destroyed the home, Noble said.
