Firefighters Put Out Blaze At Arkansas Cereal Factory
JONESBORO, Ark. (AP) -- Firefighters put out a blaze Monday afternoon at the Post Cereal-Kraft Foods plant.
A call to the emergency 911 number alerted authorities to the fire at 4:58 p.m.
At one point, flames shot into the air as smoke billowed from the roof of the building, witnesses said.
Firefighters on the scene, however, said the blaze was contained to a single boiler room on the third floor of the structure.
Authorities had no estimate of damages Monday evening, and did not yet know the cause of the fire.
