In the Bronx, an intense fire has left one man in critical condition. It happened at around 1:30 a.m. in the Tremont section.

At one point fire was shooting out of a window and to make matters worse crews had to work around a downed power line.

Seven firefighters are being treated for minor injuries.

Fire officials say the victim may have been a squatter.
