A wheelchair-bound woman dragged herself from flames to safety yesterday morning after sparks from an extension cord set her couch ablaze, fire officials said.

The Brooklyn woman, identified by a relative as Frieda Schmertzler, 56, remains in critical condition at Maimonides Medical Center, according to hospital officials.

The fire began under Schmertzler's couch inside her 10th-floor apartment on Ocean Parkway around midnight yesterday, officials said.
