ALBANY -- Firefighters and police pulled 11-year-old twins from a burning home off Delaware Avenue just after 12:30 a.m. today.

The rescuers had to resuscitate both children, a boy and a girl.

The children apparently were alone at the time of the blaze because their mother was being driven to work by her boyfriend, who intended to return home, police said.

Arson investigators are at the scene and no determination has been made on what may have sparked the fire. The home is in the 300 block of Leedale Street, which is in South Albany near the James R. Greer Memorial Park.

One of the children was airlifted to Westchester County Medical Center
