MARYSVILLE, Wash. (AP) -- A woman who had fussing over the last details of her daughter's wedding died hours before the ceremony in a fire at her manufactured home at Lake Ki, authorities said.

Mary Ellen Havlik, 62, was identified Monday as the victim of the fire, which investigators believe was ignited by an electrical fault under the deck of the house.

Relatives said Havlik and her husband were expecting about 60 guests for the wedding Saturday at the house about seven miles northwest of town.

A neighbor across the lake reported smoke coming from the home about 3:30 a.m. Firefighters arrived within seven minutes, beat down the flames and found Havlik inside the house, but she could not be revived, Marysville Fire spokesman Nathan Trauernicht said.

An initial report that Havlik got out of the house safely but went back inside to try to rescue her dog was disputed in a statement issued Monday by relatives.

No witnesses saw her outside after the fire started, Snohomish County deputy fire marshal Brenda Larsen said.

Havlik woke up, found the deck burning and awakened her husband of more than 40 years, who tried to put out the flames with a garden hose about the time the neighbor reported the fire, Trauernicht said.

The dog also died in the fire.
