MOOREVILLE, Miss. (AP) -- A house fire that killed a Mooreville woman Sunday appears to have started in the living room area around some electrical appliances, investigators say.
Angela Payne, 42, died in the fire. Mooreville Volunteer Fire Chief Ron Witte said Payne died after going back inside her home to find her daughter.
``We got the call that a person was inside,'' Witte said. ``The lady went back in to get her daughter, and her daughter was already out.''
Deputy Coroner Sammy Reed said the cause of death will be determined by an autopsy.
Payne's daughter was not injured in the fire.
Lee County Arson and Fire Investigator Ed Fugitt said four people were in the house, and one, Wade Ellis, suffered cuts to his arms and chest when leaving through a window.
The fire is still under investigation.
