Authorities are reportedly planning to stage an airborne anti-terror training exercise Saturday evening in the skies above Manhattan.

According to a memo obtained by the New York Post, the drill will begin at 6 p.m. and will involve F-15 fighter jets, along with coast guard and NYPD helicopters.

The training exercise is in preparation for the upcoming Republican National Convention. The Post says the drill will test how quickly air defenses can respond to an attack at Madison Square Garden.

There have been several terror drills in the city in the past year.

In May, about 1,000 first responders took part in a terror training drill in a Manhattan subway station.
