During his stint as a lifeguard and emergency medical technician in Chanute, Kan. Warren Kebert had to administer CPR only twice.
But the skill proved to be as lifesaving last month as it was when he learned it in high school. On Nov. 22, Kebert was on the patio of his third-floor Lenexa apartment building when he noticed an elderly man lying on the ground by his apartment complex's garbage bin.
At first, Kebert, 23, wasn't certain about what was exactly going on, but he soon realized the seriousness of the situation when he heard the man's wife calling for assistance.
