Blaze Erupts at Kentucky, Hardinsburg Fire Department

Hardinsburg firefighters became victims of fire themselves Thursday after the department's volunteer headquarters was severely damaged by flames.

The blaze broke out around six o'clock July 8th. Total disaster was avoided because most of the department's equipment was at the ongoing county fair.

One jeep, a squirt truck and several pieces of equipment were destroyed.

The Hardinsburg Fire Department is now operating out of the EMS center. The state fire marshal is investigating.
